About Erin Speyer

Erin Speyer understands that criminal charges are never abstract legal issues—they are personal crises that affect families, livelihoods, and futures. For more than 16 years, Erin has represented individuals across Florida during some of the most challenging moments of their lives, providing clear guidance, strong advocacy, and steady support through an often intimidating legal system.

Erin earned her undergraduate degree from Florida State University and graduated from the University of Miami School of Law. She chose criminal defense early in her career because of the responsibility it carries: standing between individuals and the power of the government, and ensuring that every client’s rights are protected, respected, and forcefully defended.

Based in Sarasota, Erin regularly represents clients throughout Florida’s Twelfth and Twentieth Judicial Circuits. Her experience in these courts has given her deep familiarity with local procedures, prosecutors, and judicial expectations, knowledge that plays a critical role in developing effective defense strategies. Erin is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and has handled a wide range of criminal matters, including DUI and drug offenses, violent crime allegations, white-collar cases, and juvenile defense. She also represents clients in select family law matters involving child custody, where careful legal strategy must be paired with compassion and long-term perspective.

Erin is also proud to collaborate with Apogee Security & Investigation Services, providing strategic legal insight and case analysis that complement advanced investigative work in both criminal and civil defense matters. This partnership allows for a more comprehensive approach to complex cases, aligning legal strategy with thorough, ethical investigative support in pursuit of the strongest possible outcomes for clients.

Clients often come to Erin feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and unsure of what lies ahead. She believes no one should feel lost or unheard during the legal process. Erin is committed to honest communication, realistic expectations, and being accessible to her clients from the first consultation through resolution. To better serve Florida’s diverse communities, her office includes full-time Spanish-speaking personnel, ensuring that Spanish-speaking clients can communicate comfortably and fully understand their legal options at every stage of their case.
